Web Services
Email and web hosting services are available! On The Spot Computer Service can provide you with your own domain name, email and web hosting services as well as creating a site for you. I use open source Content Management Systems (CMS) to create a stylish, functional site that you can easily update yourself. Custom graphic design is available for your site as well as for professional print projects. I currently use the following platforms for site creation: Drupal, Wordpress, Concrete5, and BasicPages. Read on for descriptions and examples of each one -
Drupal - this website was created using Drupal. Capable of building anything from simple to complex dynamic sites, Drupal has a range of visual themes that can be adapted to your liking.
WordPress - an extremely popular site building tool with many excellent free themes available. The general appearance is optimized for blogging but WordPress sites can be easily customized toward other purposes via themes. Concrete5 - a customizable page building program with great drag and drop capabilities. Concrete5 allows you to easily create your own building blocks within a page and arrange them however you like. Click here to view a Concrete5 version of this website.
BasicPages - as its' name suggests BasicPages provides an easy way to construct a basic website. Ideal for someone who just needs a simple site for small business or a personal presence on the InterWeb. Click here to view a BasicPages version of this website.
The annual cost for website and email hosting service is $120 - that's right, just $10 a month.
Website design, setup and maintenance is billed at regular hourly rates and typically takes 2 - 4 hours depending on the complexity of the project.
In addition to website creation and initial setup, I can help with domain name registration, domain/site/email transfers and any other miscellaneous related services. If there is something you are looking for and you don't see it here, please ask.
